Glasgow 720 that recieved some unwanted attention.

Moving on from the windscreen, has anyone else got louvered wings on their 720?

I assumed these were only introduced for the 765; it seems pretty quick off the mark for someone to retro upgrade their 720.

I think they look fantastic.

Interesting they were around a £9k option on a 600LT but a no cost option on 765....any ideas as to why?

It's outrageous that some people obviously consider that they can damage other people's property with impunity like that.

I think it could be a 720 Le Mans - you can see the details here - https://www.evo.co.uk/mclaren/202758/mclaren-720s-...

That doesn’t look like a standard parking bay so wonder if it’s been damaged in another way somewhere else and moved there?

These cars can only stay in 2 places safe: on the road while driving or in a garage. Anything else brings risk for the above.

Sorry to hear this.

Jeez, really sorry to see and hear this. Such a shame and so unnecessary. Love the color and hope its back on the road ASAP.

I’m happy to park mine out and about but I’m careful to post considerately. I’ve seen posters of owners really taking liberties with where they park them and that probably increases the chance of vandalism significantly.

Well, agree, that would been even stupid.

I'm using mine quite a lot, part of the deal I made with myself if I pushed the boat out with this car is I was not to be too precious about it. I've parked mine all over the place and so far so good. The main issue is you often come back to people taking pictures of themselves with it (not an issue really as I'm a tart and love to feel like a hero when I rock up and get in wink )

First time I've owned a car with full PPF, that gives a lot of peace of mind too.

I’m the same. Covered nearly 19K miles since April 2019. One of the best parts of owning the car is sharing with others. I get a lot of enjoyment seeing the excitement/smile on peoples faces when they sit in it and start it. Whenever I come back to the car and if someone is taking an interest I always offer if they’d like to sit in it. It happened on Boxing Day filling up at Louth service station. Young lad and dad asking if I didn’t mind if they could take some pictures - I went one better - the young lads face when he sat in the drivers seat was brilliant.

The amount of times i have done this too, managed to get to Brands Hatch, Donington Park 4 times and other race meetings during summer and always let people take pics, sit in drivers seat, really really made the little kids days, such an easy thing to do to please someone, makes part of ownership all the better, the ability to really cheer people up!

Good call, done it myself, nice feeling to have made someones day in a small way. As for the OP, FFS! What's wrong with people, do they assume we are given these cars and so it's fair game? I despair.
