Got one at last!
Discussion
Well, after lurking for 12 months I bit the bullet and got a 12C. Special thanks have to go to Graham at 'The Autolounge' for sourcing the car for me. Not the easiest handover with Covid etc but he stuck with it and what a nice unassuming guy, very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Someone I would highly recommend. The car is as he and Alistair Bols have described is an absolute top spec car with every single option ticked when new, with carbon everything. I still cannot believe I actually have a McLaren.
I was pleased to find out that AB had supplied the car previously and hope it's ok to use his pictures as they are the only ones I have at present.

Congrats v nice example, the 12c has a timeless elegance to it and I think it's gonna grow old v nicely...as the poster above alluded to if I could have told my teenage self that I'd own a Mclaren at some point I probably wouldn't have believed it! The F1 was the car when I was in my early teens luckily Mclaren automotive started up 10 yrs ago so that their early cars and some of their more recent ones are attainable for us mere mortals...there is a cachet and mystique to the McLaren name and DNA that's straight from the racetrack, it makes me proud to own one (a humble sports series but hey!).
Congrats.
The colour will be as big a talking point as the car whenever you stop and get out anywhere.
The volcano colours are stunning and i impartially think the orange is the best of them...
Contrary what other posters have said on other threads, in my eyes the 12c has not dated and still looks fantastic; maybe more so with each year that passes.
Your going to love McLaren ownership; I am a convert and shall always have one now.

What a lovely colour. I have seen some pictures where it looks a bit flat, is it exactly the same colour on the 650?
I would never of used 'flat' to describe volcano orange...it absolutely pops all day long with my favourite being dusk. However, check how many different shades it goes in normal sunlight...

I reckon I was looking at a different colour, the one I saw was a flat orange, that is lovely.

Thanks for great comments guys, very much appreciated. I love all McLarens and it looks perfect, aged well and I wanted one from the off but never imagined I'd actually have one in my garage. It just clocked 12k miles on arrival home and whilst I may have paid towards the top end of the 12c market it is indeed an absolutely top spec car costing £231,500 when new, with the added bonus of a McLaren inspection/warranty on day of purchase. I sat in it for hours Saturday night pressing buttons, looking at this and that then my Deb bought me a pillow in when she went to bed I came from an Aston Martin and previous to that four TVR's (the last having 573hp) and other interesting 'quick' stuff back in the day but this thing blows them away in every regard. I promise to try not to bore you with my exploits with the car so please forgive my immediate excitement.
