Just a quick one on my thoughts.

Car is brilliant after my Cayman, like the Cayman but more so. Steering, power, cornering, looks, drivability, SSD works far better than the Cayman etc. Don't get me wrong I liked the Cayman and I'd have another one but this is just a step up biggrinthumbup

What I'm not so pleased with and some of these are regular points. Bit of corrosion, radio is useless whether DAB or FM/AM, radio doesn't keep favourites(reverted to none set 3 times now), keyless locks but doesn't unlock, mirrors don't dip on reverse, windows sometimes have a mind of their own or appear to anti trap when there is nothing there, Tracker fobs are so hard to see if they are on or off( I know not Mclaren!) and the oil level check appears to be very vague and not very accurate for how important it is!

Some of these, corrosion and keyless, are being looked at in a week or so by MacGuilford and I will be emailing later to ask about the others that I've only noticed in the last few days.

Love the car it's blooming great to drive but the niggles are just annoying rolleyesirked

Good Morning OP,

It's great that you are enjoying the car, however, i understand your niggles can be annoying.

Just a couple of things - for the Iris screen, try resetting it... hold the middle button down (home button, inside the volume control) for 10 secs, this will do a hard reset, and may fix your issues with the DAB/Favourites. Just one thing though, the DAB radio does tend to be Sh*#....!

Windows having a mind of their own is a common issue, maybe your dealer will change a window regulator, or re calibrate them. Or, if the latches are not the latest version, they may replace them.

With the reverse mirror dip, this can be adjusted in the vehicle settings button on your left stalk.

Corrosion is a ball ache, that probably should've been fixed before you even took delivery. Perhaps they didn't have the car in stock for very long?

Out of interest, did you buy it privately, or through the dealer?

I will try the reset tonight. It had been OK for a while then yesterday when I used it as it had stood for 3 days all the favourites had gone again!

The mirrors I have tried on Both and Passenger only and although it sticks in the menu but the mirrors dont move in either position!

The corrosion I missed and the dealer missed but it is a very small patch and MacGuildford have it booked in to be fixed. I will menion the Iris and windows this week and the keyless is already on their list

Car was from a non Mac dealer but is still under the 1st 3 years of warranty

I assume you have actually adjusted the mirrors to the dipped position you want while in reverse? You need to do this before they'll dip in future.

Small update

Mirrors now working correctly beer

Car went in to have corrosion on passenger door sorted on 5th August plus get the keyless working correctly. Day before I dropped it off I noticed wear in 3 places on the drivers door through to the metal and mirrored places in the door shuts. Also the lock striker in the door was very grooved.

This was agreed to be sorted under warranty. While they were doing the work they found that the drivers door too had corrosion on it which was also agreed to be sorted.

I've still not got the car back because even though they had all the bits they failed to tell me they hadn't received the paint until after they had started the prep work! This was about a week and a bit ago but the paint arrived and the paintwork was sorted clap The car was collected from the paintshop but on the way back from there a wayward lorry driver carved up the driver of my car which resulted in this

Wheel has been repaired but the QC at the repair place wasn't happy with the repair so it's still not been returned as far as I know!

Plus they are struggling to find a fix for the keyless. Fitted new locks but made no difference, checked software etc. and are now looking into loom resistance and other options confused

Worst thing is that it needs to go back early Nov for service, warranty and MOT cry
