McLaren Speedtail review
Discussion
Nice Speedtail review by Autocar.
Originally I thought it was a bit challenging to look at, but it gets better each time I see pics in different colours.

The looks are very futuristic and brave but I doubt we will see many of the roads or even
if many will be sold at 2.1 million. The high end market really seems to be flooded at present.
I suppose we have never had it so good in that way.
It could well be on teenage kids bedroom walls.
The production run (of 106) was sold out two years ago. if many will be sold at 2.1 million. The high end market really seems to be flooded at present.

Befote I get accused of being a McLaren fan boy ( despite being a serial fez owner )
I have to say soz McLaren but that and the senna are hideous.
Since the 675LT the function over form design has gone way too far for me.
My eyes may have become more accustomed to 720S over time but its not a pretty or sexy car in the same way as a 675LT IMHO
Maybe I'm becoming too conservative and middle aged now I'm 40

Without doubt it is a classic but will disappear into collections and not used regularly on the roads
which is a shame.
I’ve been lucky enough to see a few Speedtails in the flesh, I think it’s one of the most stunning looking cars I have seen in a very long time.
When you see it moving around amongst other ‘normal’ cars, it looks almost futuristic, alien and just has this presence about it. It’s something you cannot see from just looking at pictures.
Whether you like the styling or not, I think it would be hard not to admit that seeing something like that on the road is definitely an event.

I wasn’t sure about these when they were first announced but have completed a full u turn. I’ve seen one out and about and, having now read the first few reviews, I think this is a landmark McLaren. It is different but absolutely stunning and by all accounts a fabulous and different thing to drive.
Bravo McLaren, like the F1 team, you’re reminding us how good you are. Times may be troubling but hope the factory are proud.
