Both. Electric through town, comfy, quiet and serene. Out of town Flick into sports, dash goes red and handles much better than you’d think. Some say it’s slow but at 4.4 to 60 it gets going quick enough. A lot hate the engine sound fake or not I like it.
We have it to go for nice weekends away and days out to the seaside. So 2-3 hours a day driving.

Mclaren definitely but I'm biased ...the i8 is a nice design but having seen one recently on the motorway it lacks road presence especially from the rear compared to a Mc.

68 plate, all options, 520 miles from new, 54k. 14k deposit £400 month.

I like the i8, Im a big fan, but the McLaren is just so exclusive and it looks the nuts!

Easy answer, i8 was one of the most disappointing cars I have driven in the last several years. Only the 4C topped it.

How are these two cars alternative options in any way shape or form?

One is a hybrid sports car. The other is a (bottom of the range) supercar.

Both great cars, but chalk and cheese. 540C is better though of course.
