How reliable is a 675lt?

Is there any anecdotal or actual data on how reliable the 675lt is in comparison to the 720?
Interested to hear from anyone that has dinner proper miles on one.
Thanks.
From experience, In my opinion the 675LT is probably the best car McLaren have built, build quality, materials, reliability.. They learnt everything from the 12C/650, then produced the 675LT. The complete car.Interested to hear from anyone that has dinner proper miles on one.
Thanks.
- Edit - i do mean build quality/reliabilty by the way... performance wise, 720S is streets ahead, as we all know.

If I could turn the clock back, I would buy a 675LT instead of a 720S. With exception of the Ultimate series, it is the best McLaren. They are a future classic and will be much sought after. As said above, a culmination of lessons learned from the 12C and 650S.
I’ve covered 14K miles in a 720S. 720S is a fantastic all rounder and can be easily used as a DD. I wouldn’t want to use a 675LT as a DD.

In your opinion Guru is the same true of the 570s transition to 600LT- Edit - i do mean build quality/reliabilty by the way... performance wise, 720S is streets ahead, as we all know.

600LT is a fantastic car, however, it still carries many similarities from the 570S. Give it time, and we will all get a clearer picture as to whether the 570 transition to a 600LT follows the same trend as the 650 to 675LT. One thing to note, mclaren produced more 600lt/lts than they did 675LT/LTS, in a shorter period of time. This is what I've heard and seen. Two friends have 675s and they feel much better in terms build quality. Also, they've done twice the mileage I have and not had a single issue. My 720 unfortunately has been awful. All sorted now but it's left me with a sour taste for the brand.
I'm hopefully doing a deal today on a 675lt spider. Hence the question.
Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that.. dont let it put you off the brand.. (i know thats easy for me to say).. the 675LTS will certainly restore your faith!I'm hopefully doing a deal today on a 675lt spider. Hence the question.

As someone who regularly tracks cars the 675Lt was the obvious choice but somehow I bought a 720s Performance, I wanted a 720s TP but not many around.
I don’t think there is a right solution to be honest as a well sorted 720s is a fantastic car but perhaps does not have the kudos a 675Lt has built up. The 720s, is more modern looking, has some much improved features such as the lights and is quicker.
There is mention of 675’s being better built and certainly panel fit looked good on the one I tested but in the grand scheme of things I don’t think there will be anything in it

We have had our 675LT Spider form new and never had a single issue with it. Done multiple long road trips etc. Also never had any issue with our 720S either. I posted an article detailing all the maintenance history on both on our website recently.
Thanks. How many miles have you done in the 675?I did 2,200 miles in my 675LT this winter when I bought in Jan till lock-down, so 6 weeks. Absolutely no issues at all. It has been fantastic. Talking with other owners its a similar experience, very few have issues with the 675LT even owners who have had from new and done 10k miles plus say its the most reliable McLaren. As stated above there was 5 years + practice with the other P11 cars before they made the 675LT so most, if not all of the issues, with the 12C / 650S had been ironed out.

I nearly did the same thing.I’ve covered 14K miles in a 720S. 720S is a fantastic all rounder and can be easily used as a DD. I wouldn’t want to use a 675LT as a DD.
After test driving a 720 and 675 on the same roads on the same day I cancelled my 720 order and bought a 675.
So glad I did, had some epic trips round Europe in it.

Thanks. Makes me feel much better about the purchase. Especially without manufacturers warranty. Bispal said:
