What was the on the road price of 600LT’s
Discussion
I had a walk around a dealer yesterday. So many colours and trims to choose from. The McLaren, Ferrari and Aston configurator do not list prices. Porsche Configurator does list prices.
I remember when the 600Lt and I showed a note of interest they were talking about £220-240k with options. Those cars are now £150k or thereabouts.
I used to be a 12c owner. I was looking at 720’s as well. I don’t know why but something tells me the 600lt is a safer financial bet.
Cars are selling too because I seen cars being collected and shipped. I seen a stunning 675lt but because it is older the finance is very expensive.

I picked one up last week, brand new and riddled with problems. The dealer is being monumentally pathetic.
Has anyone got details of a solicitor who deals with rejecting vehicles?
On another forum you state almost all the issues are with the prep of the car and bad polishing by the dealer. While I sympathise with your predicament and hope you find a resolution I don't think its fair to give other readers the impression that the 600LT is 'riddled with problems' as from your other thread that does not seem to be the case. Changes things slightly, maybe that’s why he feels he needs the help of a solicitor.Bispal said:

Apologies, I didn't mean the car platform in general was riddled with problems. I was merely referring to the issues I am having with mine and yes all of the issues apart from the loose panel are cosmetic related. The car itself is superb. Unfortunately I can't drive mine until it is sorted.petjam said:

If its just cosmetic issues then you have no grounds under the Consumer credit act to reject the car..600LT Spiders are amazing cars and in your shoes i'd swallow my pride and just take it to a reputable detailer and get the paint sorted and coated..Life is too short.!Wish you the best whatever course of action you decide on.

You don’t stand a chance rejecting it for cosmetic issues which could easily be sorted by the dealer. You have to give them reasonable opportunity to correct it. Be mindful that these forums are monitored by McLaren and dealersMAC 720S said:

I wish the dealer would contact me but they have done a 100% ostrich!I hope they are monitored by McLaren and a brief read of the Consumer Rights Act will change your thinking imminently.
A brand new £200k car with faulty panels, decayed seals, rusty doors and lights filled with polish. It is a very easy win.
That being said I hope I get to keep it as it is the best car I have ever driven. Mclaren HO themselves have contacted me and are now dealing with the issue.
I don't want to argue with you. Your posts are great and your love of the brand helped guide me to this car (honestly).

If you bought a brand new Sony £2000 flat screen tv from John Lewis and the bezel was scratched when you unpacked it would you take it back and ask for a replacement or would you just suck it up and accept it?If you did decide to take it back who would you expect to replace it/refund you. Sony or John Lewis?
Now explain how this is different for a product that costs 100 times the price of the Sony TV.

Agreed. Whilst it is frustrating, not sure you would have the right to reject when it is bad dealer practice, rather than product quality issues. Ride the wave, and drive the car.. all those miles will certainly put these small issues to the back of your mind!Gassing Station | McLaren | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
