Whilst it’s not really the time to buy a car or a house, the world will restart eventually and I’ve got my eye on both.
Great house but ‘normal’ garage.
Can anyone tell me how wide a 570s with one door open is please?
I’ve learnt, over the years, that the only way to play this game, is to try with an actual car in the actual garage........Great house but ‘normal’ garage.
Can anyone tell me how wide a 570s with one door open is please?
Vehicle width with doors open and closed is under the "Body" heading in the spec PDF from the McLaren website:

Hadn’t even bothered looking at the McLaren website as it seems to be falling apart

Hi there,
I have just checked my garage. It is 2570mm wide, my 570S fits and you can get in and out. Might not be elegant, but no problem. The door will not open fully but enough to get in and out.
As suggested, my test was done with the demonstrator before ordering. It was a worry for me, but worked well enough.
Best of luck.

Something else to bear in mind. ............
Unlike a "normal" car door (that you can slither out of when about 50% open) the Mclaren doors really need to be 70% plus of the way open to be able to get out of the car.
Also, don't forget that amount of upward space needed as well - it's more than you might expect.

Also, open / lower the window with the remote when you are parking somewhere tight helps. Unlike a "normal" car door (that you can slither out of when about 50% open) the Mclaren doors really need to be 70% plus of the way open to be able to get out of the car.

Hi All,
Just bringing up an old thread as I am hankering after a McLaren and as things stand the only thing that may stop me taking the plunge is the question on whether it will fit in my garage.
My garage is 2.6m wide on the entrance and then narrows down to 2.2m gradually (one of the walls goes inwards). I have had supercars for a while and all fit albeit very tightly. I have figured that the point of the garage where the car door opens is around 2.4m wide.
For those who have McLaren 570s do you think 2.3/2.4m will be enough to get in/out of the car? I know the door cant be fully extended but was wondering whether I can get in/out with some ungraceful crawling (which I don't mind doing if it means I can bag a McLaren!)
I tried asking the McLaren dealer near me whether I can have a demo car for a couple of hours to check and that hasn't been possible. They seem open to taking a car to check in the garage but only after a deal of sorts is done, but that feels a bit of a waste of time to me if the car isn't going to fit in the first place!

I knew mine wouldn't fit in the garage - if that's a gating factor, can you just keep it outside?
What size is your garage? I have no issue getting the car in and out as I believe my garage opening is sufficient but its the door opening that is of concern.Unfortunately I have no parking available outside so that isn't an option. This is the only thing stopping me from going out and buying a McLaren at the moment!
My garage is 2.1m at the entrance and 2.34 inside where the door opens. My 360 is tight (drivers mirror needs folding in when I reverse in) and if I eat many more cakes I won't be getting in or out of it while it's in the garage.
Because of the way the doors open on the McLaren I think it would be impossible in mine. Although it is easier to get in and out of 540/570 than my 650.
