I would really like a 720s Spider. I notice there are loads of unregisterd cars with massive specs around. What's sort of discount should I expect ?

The short answer is 'probably not enough'

With values at 2 years old likely to be £100k behind new list, it might be much better to go down the PCP route.

There were some sensible fininace deals floating around a couple of months ago, that capped 2 year ownership at £40k (600lt).

Was offered £45k recently and the same against a 600lt Spyder.

PCP's for 720S spider aren't capped at £40K - more like £80K. A lot of money for 2 years/12000 miles. but as I said in an earlier thread, that is still less (PCP-wise) than Mclaren offer on nearly new ones retailing at £220K-ish.
I think the only way to look at these is to buy nearly new and intend to keep forever. Then they are very cheap for the level of performance.

Really? On a 720S spider? I'd go for that if I was offered it but have tried 3 dealers and none would get near that. £45K in for a near £300K car is amazing value - equates to 15% depreciation over 2 years!!

I read it as £45k discount off list , not a total to pay for a PCP a for two years.

You may want to read it again ...

Not sure I'd answer. This is PH - even if you paid £1.50, you'll get told you paid too much and they could have got it for free with a holiday home in the Bahamas thrown in!

I got one free at lunch as part of a £3.15 Greggs meal deal.

Yeah but wants others to share their discounts and asks about discounts then won’t say what his was!

Wasn't trying to be secretive. I was buying another car at same time from the dealer group so I wasn't just negotiating on one vehicle.
