2013 Geneva Motorshow 12C Volcano Red
Discussion
No need to suspect it anything, the last two owners looked after it well.
Dealer serviced and maintained under official extended warranties.
Former show car in 2013
Sold by London to the first owner late 2013
Sold by Ascot to me Feb 2016
Sold by me privately to the third owner in 2017 who has just traded it in at NF for something new.
Lovely, reliable car while I had it, plus I don't recall the last owner telling me about any issues when I spoke to him a few weeks ago just after it went. I know he kept it in good order, and enjoyed his miles in it.

Thanks for the feed back. Saw the car yesterday and it has had paint at some point (there is some blow over evident) around the sills but no record of this amongst the paperwork. Would like to know why it was painted and how much of it. Also lots and lots of stone chips given the mileage , especially around the sills, rear wheel arches and nose. Wondered if it’s ever come off the track on a track day?
Well tracks days aren't my thing for sure. The VR paint was prone to minuscule marks though, from even the most mundane of drives. I thought it got PPF applied after I sold it.
I'm not aware of many people who record any paint jobs in amongst their car documents, and if it was a poor job I'd be surprised that a franchised dealer would put it on the forecourt.
I've no idea if the last owner is on here.

I thought McLaren don't release the paint codes so any paint has to be done by them or an approved McLaren paint shop ? That’s why I expected some record of it to be in the car papers. The PPF is peeling in places and needs to come off. In places it’s actually been applied over uncorrected stone chips. Rather gutted as I remember seeing this car at Geneva and it’s got a great spec. Travelled quite a way to see it intending to buy it. But getting the paint right will not be cheap & my head tells me there are other cars out there in immaculate condition for a similar price.
