I know this isn't the performance but my god, that's a crazy price for what is essentially a new car.
Makes every other car below it seem way overpriced.

It’s a very basis spec, just a quick look at the spec shows these things missing.

No Bowers & Wilkins stereo.
No Carbon fibre exterior packs 1 2 & 3.
No Carbon backed bucket seats.
No secondary Carbon fibre interior components pack.
No extended Carbon fibre gear shift paddles.
No Carbon fibre aero bridges.
No Carbon fibre engine cover.
No Carbon fibre rear diffuser.
No stealth pack.
Basic alloy wheel set.

Interior is dull as ditch water, I would imagine it will be in stock for over a year until someone comes along, who does not know what they are doing & buys it. IMHO

How much time would that lot save on a lap of the Nurburgring?

That is reflected more than enough in the price no?

Regardless of spec, its an absolute bargain and if my 570 wasn't worth 50p, I would've left a deposit on it today. (assuming it isn't a mistake)

So what I don’t understand fully is this obsession with carbon fibre and why not having your car dripping in it means that you don’t know what you are doing? All of the above will add many thousands to the price and the only tangible reason to do it is because everyone seems to think that it is essential and so without it you’ll never move it on. There will be immeasurable performance benefit by having it, so seems pure vanity. Fickle times we live in, I guess.

Lack of carbon on the exterior is a plus for me. It's too costly to repair.

Having spoken to multiple dealers last month they seem to find the ones with leather harder to shift and based on what else I've seen / discounts offered on unregistered, the price won't be a mistake.

FWIW, I don't think it's unattractively specified (I obviously don't know what I'm doing as I like the dark leather interior and absence of extra carbon) and had it been in my local dealership a couple of weeks ago it would probably be in my garage now. I'm almost glad it wasn't given local dealership experience has not been confidence inspiring.

My McLaren dealer won't even touch a luxury anymore so I'm pretty sure even at that price, after a year you'd lose a good £30k but if I was in the market to keep one for a few years I'd definitely be interested in this one.
Love the colour.

Interior carbon is a gimmick on these cars and exists purely to make money off the rich

The stereo can be upgraded to something decent for a few k

The price of the carbon fibre options on these cars new is ludicrous tbh...having said that the used 570s I bought last month has the carbon interior which finishes the cabin quite well and the paddles are v tactile and do feel high quality. As for exterior carbon it is quite expensive to repair alright but when it’s surrounding the engine bay and visible it does look pretty nice...this is more on a Ferrari or V10 R8 than a McLaren.
