If I had say a 570S (a future possibility) and wanted to do a track day with an independent organiser, what is the process. I've heard that the car must be inspected by McLaren (at a dealer ?) before and after the track day in order to maintain the warranty ?

Thanks.

That's true for the manufacturer warranty.

The extended warranty basically says that if they determine the fault is a result of track use, they won't pay for it. It kind of implies track days are a bit risky regarding the warranty.

How much do they charge for pre and post inspection? Of course the other point is they would have to know for sure you had taken the car on a track in order to refuse to cover any repair on that basis. I think it's all a bit much tbh these are high performance cars, using them occasionally on track should be part of the ownership experience without having to worry about warranty cover if you don't have the inspections done.
