A while I would think - you wouldn't even get a 12C Spider for that, and the 650 coupe is still more than that.

You certainly wouldn't get mine any time soon for anything close to £70k.

LHD car fairly irrelevant in the context of the UK mkt adjusting for exchange rate that's £90k, rhd cars would easily command 10-15% premium so 99-105k which is where a few cars are priced right now...a long way from £70k no?

The 650s coupes are starting to look great value, there’s only a handful for sale and many have been up for a while so I would imagine a deal could be done on some. The 8k white one is now down to 93k !

I guess they will end up following 12c values as they are very similar cars.

As long as you can stomach the warranty cost the 12c must be a super car bargain.

Imagine buying one at £70k without checking out the warranty and running costs! Most likely will happen with some of the early McL cars, then they'll be run on a shoestring budget and will be changing hands very quickly. Or hopefully, warranty costs will be more in line with purchase £ and more indies will appear

That's some wear on those front brake discs. You can see the heavy lips from distant pictures.

Not quite.

I’m not being inflammatory, here, btw.

The UK market sees greater depreciation that that of Europe (sadly for me, living in France), so from my perspective, a €105k 650s is a surprising find (perhaps the exception to the rule). I’m personally hoping it’s a trend, or, perhaps the €105k is what he was offered by a dealer in Germany. Who knows? Still, at £90k, it’s trajectory towards £70k could well be set looking at the depreciation curve of the last three to four years.

No? ;-)

What happens though, is that the individuals that say 'when its £70k i shall get one' are the same individuals that would of bought one 'when they are £90k', and when they hit £70k they shall make a post about how it won't be long 'till they are £50k and that is the new buy in point.

Personally, i couldn't be bothered.

Buy one, enjoy it and lose money...its what used to be called in the good old days "owning a supercar'.

In the old days, you didn't lose anywhere near the amount of money you do now. In fact, quite often you'd break even or even occasionally make a bit. I know I did. Those days are gone unless you have something very special

It’s not “the old days”.
It was a brief period, when very low rate, easily available, finance came along and totally changed the market.
Now it’s getting more back to normal.

Indeed. I only hope nothing else comes along to tempt me to have to exchange the 650s. It would have to be for something more than just straight line speed.

I do have a Tesla roadster reservation, but that will replace the Model S daily. The Mac will hopefully remain my weekend fun, carbon tub-dihedral doors-air brake-special suspension-RWD car....
