650 spider engine bay
Discussion
Whenever i am out and about, usually someone usually comes over to comment on the car, have a look around and sometimes ask for a pic.
Yesterday, when i parked up, a guy and his young son came over and after looking about then asked if he could see the engine...
This happened on a quite a few occasions when i had Ferraris, and when you popped the lid it was followed by the impressed 'ahhhs' when they see how busy it was in there with the pleniums, manifolds and scarlett red cam covers...yesterday i got a short 'oh' in a shall we say disappointed tone followed by 'how do you work on that?!'
I guess after the visuals of the looks, colour and pure theatre doors the engine bay is a little bit less dramatic with most of it being covered.
Is it the same with 540s, 570s and 720s engine bays? Its not something i have paid any attention to before on McLarens.

Visually, the 720S engine bay is damn piss boring to look at. You can't even open it up. There is a mesh that can be removed with the use of a special Torx tool, but apart from that, not much to look at.Yesterday, when i parked up, a guy and his young son came over and after looking about then asked if he could see the engine...

I'm guessing that people won't hang about while you dig out the torx tool!I think i have only had the engine lid up about 3 times...one of them to take this pic.
Maybe next time i shall say it needs a special tool to open it to avoid disappointment...

Yes it's Azores, great colour in bright light, when it's clean, but can look quite dark in some conditions....Is your 720 Azores orange? Love a 720 in that...
