SOL - BUYING A USED MCLAREN 720s NEXT YEAR?
Discussion
I’m assuming this had been approved by McLaren Automotive because it is made in association with one of their main dealers. If so, I'm surprised they have engaged one of the well-known Youtubers when considering all the bad publicity they got from the likes of TGE, Phil Dixon & Salomondrin etc.
Rightly or wrongly, the Youtubers influenced an awful lot of ill feeling towards the brand, and IMO, are responsible for a lot of the negative opinions we still hear and read about.

It's a fair point, but car manufacturers only have themselves to blame in a sense, as they have effectively empowered the influencers by giving them preferential access to the cars, either on loan or priority on limited edition vehicles. The odd thing is that very few of the videos have much to say about how the cars actually drive!

Indeed - most likely because none of these guys are actually any good at driving.Early on in my V12V ownership I ended up showing one of them at a meet how easy it was to drift the car around a roundabout. His reaction was to upchuck the bacon buttie we'd just had courtesy of the dealer.

Also, the odd thing is that very few of these so called influencers have an audience that fits in with the demographics of a 'real-world' supercar owner. The YT's do more damage than good. Someone at McLaren needs to get a grip on this.

i'm sure that's more of a reflection on their passengering, or your driving, rather than theirs!Early on in my V12V ownership I ended up showing one of them at a meet how easy it was to drift the car around a roundabout.
