Admittedly it's a 7 yo 12c but having the engine
stop working on the M25 is not a pleasant experience and quite dangerous also. I guess he can return the car to the selling dealer for full refund as its within 30 days? Gonna be tough for them to move it on given the negative publicity even if they repair the issues.

I was really looking forward to hearing how he got on and prove the reliability myth wrong. Poor lad. And that sounds very dangerous the way the car packed up on him.
Me too. I was also planning to follow this closely, be interesting to see how it pans out. I feel it may not be public knowledge. Has anyone else or heard of any engine failures I was under the impression they were pretty much bulletproof.

I can't understand why someone wouldn't have breakdown cover when running expensive cars. Who would abandon their car on the M25.
Also who on earth carries a gallon of petrol in their car these days?
Yeah I also was interested to see how it went for him but he bought an early 12c and jumps at the first sign of trouble he must have known there was a chance of some issues with such a car...I thought he had a warranty anyway so fix the issue and stick with it I would have thought. Perhaps it's just cold feet and he can return it for full refund I'd imagine.

It's hardly a shock that an older car has an issue. How often to owners trade in their car when they know a bill is coming? He will be able to reject the car, but I think it's bit unfair to instantly reject a car without even knowing what the issue is. It might not even be that serious. Some new replacement parts is better than old parts that will fail in the future.
I'm still curious about carrying the fuel can. It's strange he was carrying a fuel can and his car broke down with fueling issues.
How does McLaren warranty view track days? He was open to admit he used it for track days.

The gallon of petrol thing is very weird, + he sounds like a cock.
I agree. Is the car just out of fuel? Why would you abandon a car (especially one like that) in a live lane of the M25 and just go home in a taxi??? Oh and then wonder why the battery went flat with the hazard lights flashing for days on end!!!

Who the hell leaves their car on the M25, also leaving all of his work gear in it and gets a taxi home? Bizarre thing to do. The battery will drain if it has been sat on the M25, then also sat in a recovery compound for X amount of time with them still on – The recovery company wouldn’t have access to turn them off. Could this be a cop-out if he has been doing some track days and he has damaged the car in the process? Something isn’t adding up. Very strange behaviour.
