Nice drive up in my much loved Gallardo and an even better getting to know you session in the Northern Pennines and Yorkshire dales on the way back. Straight to Paintshield for some PPF to protect all that lovely CF. Early impressions are it's everything its cracked up to be. I am really loving the colour in the flesh, especially in sunshine it looks fantastic to my eyes.
My car has diamond cut alloys which I intended to change to stealth asap but they look better than I thought they would on the car so may give it some time before making a decision.

Lovely!

I reckon those wheels in anthracite would be a wonderful combination. The green is immense smile

Fantastic, enjoy !

I think you are right about the wheels - I'm not usually a fan of stealth but with that colour and carbon combo the shiny wheels do look a little out of place. Not bad but I think stealth will suit the aggressive look

650s spider supply starting to dry up already and when they are gone they are gone. Anyone buying one now wont be changing it in the short term without throwing some serious cash > £100k at it to find something better like a 675LT spider or maybe a 488 Spider

If you channeled all the effort you put in on PH extolling the virtue of the 650s into earning more money, you'd easily be able to afford a 675LTS wink

Very very nice, congratulations.

That looks very similar to Tim's (Shmee150) old car. Any idea if its his old one?

Shmee's had protection film on it already so I doubt it is. Agreed that it's very nice though! Think I'd be going stealth on the wheels smile

That's not Shmee's old one, his Mantis Green 650S is owned by someone in Lancashire, I saw it on Sunday in sunlight which really made the metallic flake in the paint "ping"!

Great colour, I have exactly the same 650s in mantis green but I have the stealth finish wheels which work really well with the contrast of the carbon fibre.
Enjoy the car they certainly are amazing.

Its not Schmees old car though externally its very similar but interior is different.

I have been umming and ahhing about the wheels. I would have definitely changed them initially but I find I like them better as they are than I thought I would.

Thanks Tim, thought you'd be a likely McLaren man.

The 12C is a lovely thing, feels rather more special than the Porsche IMO but not quite as practical. Not a lot in it performance wise, both absolutely mentally fast
