Another 12C buyer waiting in the wings?
Discussion
Finally managed to get myself into a position where I can start looking for a 12C, much excitement on my part.
Any feedback from those who have been through the process of late?
If anyone knows of any low mileage 12C's feel free to drop me a line.
Hope to be a member of the clan soon

Hi Mark, a wise choice, quite a few here have made the jump recently.
I put a deposit on one three weeks ago, hope to have it in the next few days.
I scanned the web for months, watched most that came available looking for "the one". Some cars available now have been there for months, others go really quick, so be sure what you are looking for colour & spec wise and be ready to move quick if necessary!
Some franchised McLaren dealers move more 12C stock than others, but don't rule out independents, they often have well specified cars.
Other guys will offer some other advice no doubt, good hunting!
Look forward to you joining the new McLaren Crew!

I wouldn't worry about higher mileage. By some accounts you're better off getting one with some miles on so you're not left dealing with the gremlins. I actually avoided low mileage cars when buying mine. Any feedback from those who have been through the process of late?

There is a reason why so many people are moving to 12C's at the moment.
They are fantastic cars.
McLaren now have a well established brand which is gaining more recognition by the day.
You will not be disappointed.
At last, I'm no longer an only voice. They are fantastic cars.

12C stock is turning rapidly and on a regular basis whilst 458 stock seems to be sitting months on months with no reduction in prices to even try and move them on.
I know Ferrari seriously control numbers, advertising and pricing of used stock but it must be difficult for dealers to survive if they are not selling cars.
I think the 2 cars are intrinsically linked and therefore to sell any 458's going forward they will need to address the price differential. I can see 12C prices going up and 458 coming down in the spring to try and redress the balance.

someone else here looking for a 12c spider please . any volcano colour ideally but with carbon inside and sports exhaust although would overlook that if the right car as i assume you can retro fit one ? thanks
I'd not bother with a sports exhaust on a spiderMine is load enough and you can drop the rear window for extra noise
It is easy to retrofit though
Go and have a look at the Volcano colours in the Sun
The flake size on the orange is larger than the yellow and red
Thanks Mikey . Looked at the McLaren Ascot 12C spider VO yesterday ... Although not much sunshine to be seen then but loved the colour and thought it suited the body design . Were you on the Aston watch tour a few years ago in which case we must have met then . I was in a DBS and kept my license for the whole trip !

Gentlemen ... Thanks ! Just need to find the right car now and get some European miles on the clock ! Loved my Aston having gone back to pork but having spent some time looking at the choices decided McLaren is the answer .
Any updates to report on these chaps? Have you pushed the button yet? We haven't had many new purchasers here recently apart from Skittles. Stocks of 12C's aren't huge at the moment, but someone out there has been buying recently, the two Mc Orange coupes went from Alastair Bols lately and the VO Spider was sold at Ascot last week. Who's got them? '#Mclarencrew'
