Hi,

I am using Iris2 and it seems to work well so far. The only thing missing on the SatNav is the speed camera warning (or whatever they are called)...anyone know how to get these warnings displayed????

I've had a play but can't see where to select them to be displayed/alerted.

Thanks in advance.

I tried as well but it does not seem to be an available option...

After a first SP30 with the 12C, I decided to write an app to alert me when I get too close to one :-)

Not been speeding since then :-D

Oh could you share?

Alternatively, I suppose I could download Waze or some such...that would be neat. Will have a play.

Cheers for confirming MB that saves more p155ing around with settings and manual (ps I saw your review in the 12C buyers guide in the latest Evo...I assume it was you smile )

Sure ;-)
I will share the free app (but if you look closer there is one with no iAds available).

I made one for myself because I wanted something simple with no faffing around with other features.

It works well but if you do not know the area it is better to have the app open. When the app has been launched once and closed, it will stay in the background and alert you with a notification within 500 metres but Apple location update when the phone is locked is not very timely !!

It can be done and you can select the %over the speed limit at which you want an alert. But I can't remember how it's done aside u helpfully saying its in the settings when in sat nav.

IRIS2 does have an audible speed camera warning option which I have found to be very effective.

Off the top of my head go into Nav, Settings, Warnings and it is in there somewhere. Next time I am in the car I will properly document it.

Ah found it:
Nav - settings - sounds and warnings - alert point settings.

Lots of options to set in there. All good. Done.
