Anybody fitted this to their iris2 without spending the 1500quid that a main dealer wants?
What's actually involved in fitting one?

If im not mistaken it's just plug and play. If that's the case then it does rather wind me up!
Still a lot to learn from Ferrari...

Let us know if you come up with a cheaper option :-) I'll do the same. I hate being ripped off!!

There might be a very expensive and very difficult 5 minutes software update required !

I find all this feedback very odd. My iris 2 works superbly, including multiple functions at once eg nav whilst streaming music over Bluetooth. Generally, I much prefer a camera to beeps. I'll get on the case shortly.

The main-dealer offered to do it for 1275. It's still expensive but I've told them to go ahead and do it. I like having a reverse camera and if my 12C appreciates to the tune of 800% then it won't matter :-)

Don't bother
I got it on my 650 as part of a "pack"
The screen is in landscape on the console so it's not very wide
Its low down on the console as well so its not close to the eye line, you have to take your eyes way off the mirrors to see it
The camera is so low down the perspective is distorted and obstacles seem to rush in to view
I've given up using mine for reversing, its more interesting switching it on as you blast along so you can see where you've been from an ants perspective hehe

Thanks mikey. That's really useful to know. If yours was 1k cheaper without, would you have preferred that?

Nope
I actually tried on a demo car and the sales guy showed me the perspective issue, he agreed it was a bit point less.
I started adding in the options I did want and we realised it was more expensive than taking the pack that contained the camera. So I went with the pack.

Waste of time IMHO. Tried it on demo and it was so slow loading and poor view I don't think I would of paid £100 for it let alone £1000.

In the 675 I just wanted a reverse camera, they wouldn't give it to me without the parking sensors because of software issues which look awful so I didn't go with either.

My Lambo I had the dealer retrofit a reverse camera for £450 which looks factory and works really well. Frustrating Mac try to take the piss with these simple "should be standard" options.
