Isn't the traditional question at this stage to ask whether you are speccing it for yourself or the next owner ?

Are you buying the car to enjoy? Or are you already thinking of how much money you can make on resale?

If it's the first then whatever you like it's your taste, if it's the second then why not just ask the salesman what's been most popular choice. On a recent visit to the factory orange is a very popular choice...

Congratulations on getting one yellow 491. Surely it has to be in a Porsche PTS colour?

Just to emphasise that Porsche are a bit slow in making a car in this sector! smile

If you live anywhere near South East more than happy for you to view my car with its options, should be helpful when speccing a new car.

What did you honestly expect? Spec is a personal thing, in which case we can't help you, unless you're spec'ing for the second owner. I don't even know what the full options list is and I imagine the majority of people here don't have one on order and therefore are in the same boat.

What i expected was some reasonable replies,i dont live my life on forums,so thanks shmee for the info on mac life.
As its my first stray away from a life long affair with porsche,i dont know much about them, i dont give a hoot about the next owner as a lot of my cars i keep a long time.what i do know is once driven the 650 s is a great car and cant wait for the lt spider,i am hoping it will keep me away from getting back into a carrera gt.

Hunter, funny i am thinking silver, looks class and a bit understated as you say,but red is my favourite car colour, although my son thought i should get green or orange! Which aint happening.
Hoping to get a run in the spider in the not to distant future,my mate says its balistic as he has driven it already.

Thanks for the offer to the south east,i am in the sw,guess i will have to be patient until i visit a maca dealer as the configurator is mind boggling.

With napier green and McLaren orange written out it seems, volcano red would be a good choice! Seen a couple recently and it looks absolutely stunning, especially against all the carbon options.

For me Volcano Red is the most stunning colour and my favourite on the 12C, 650S, 675 and P1. It's absolutely stunning in the metal.

So I'd personally go Volcano Red with all the carbon. Stunning.

Another vote for Volcano red. Pictures don't do it justice and it just looks so amazing in the sunlight.

First comment everyone makes about my car is the fantastic colour
