Happy Day - New 650S Spider
Discussion
I picked up my new 650S Spider on Friday from McLaren Ascot, will post longer thoughts once I have done a few weeks (already done 150 miles) - my favourite thing so far has got to be the little window to listen to the noise (spec includes sports exhaust)
I only had the iPhone to hand when I got it home but will do better job soon.
For those paying attention, I did have a 675LT allocated to me, but with news of the spider version I decided given the deals being offered the 650 was the way to go, and very happy with it!

Congratulations. Just had a great summer, roof down in mine, they are such fantastic cars.
Probably sounds its best like you say with roof up but back window down as no wind noise and you can really hear the howl, burble and pops of the engine clearer.
And boy doesn't it sound good for all those critics out there( may not be quite Scuderia or Performante sounds but for a turbo charged car its awesome and has to be the best non N/a sounding car by a country mile )

Stunning looking car, is it your first Mclaren ?
Yes first McLaren, but been a fan for some time, a friend has a P1 and a 12C and he invited me along to the factory a couple of years ago and I also attended a full day of both Dunsfold driving the 650S coupe and then the factory, George (VIP guy) has been great also organising me stuff. So definitely knew what I was getting myself into - just as a side note when I did the Dunsfold day a few others who had large garages of supercars remarked that McLaren factory is way more advanced than both Ferrari and Lamborghini.

This reflects in the build quality for sure where there is no comparison. Lambo with audi influence is better than Ferrari but the beauty of McLarens at the moment is you are not paying for the badge and heritage etc..So definitely knew what I was getting myself into - just as a side note when I did the Dunsfold day a few others who had large garages of supercars remarked that McLaren factory is way more advanced than both Ferrari and Lamborghini.
