For all those who haven't seen our recent PHTV video of a drag race between a Nissan GTR, Ferrari 458 Speciale and a McLaren 650s you can watch it here.

458 Speciale is far more interesting and involving a car than either of the other two.

I agree, that one is a stunner.

But now you agree the Speciale is the best of the three:

I feel this is more a case of "Anything but..." rather than an informed opinion.

There are several people around here who take every opportunity to stick the boot into Mclaren, it's quite odd.
Nothing wrong with having an opinion of course it's what makes this site so interesting but I can't recall seeing the same regularly directed venom in the Ferrari and Lambo forums.

Still, the traffic in the Mclaren forum is definitely up and there are a lot more people buying or studying the brand so that's all good.

I've owned and enjoyed all three marques and have great things to say about all of them.

I currently own all 3 brands and treat every car on its merits rather than the badge.

The 650S spider is/was my 10th supercar but was a real wow moment for me and a definite keeper being such an accomplished all round car. TBH of all my cars its the one I've driven the most by far as there is simply no compromises.

There is definitely an acknowledgement by those in the know and the general public now that the 650s is a very special supercar.
As said above judging by the comments and trend on this forum McLaren is definitely a serious contender these days and probably more so for those that have previously done Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Well done McLaren, for making Britain Great once again

I love these 'my car is clearly better than your car comments'
I am totally blessed to own a very small collection of cars:
Suffolk C Type jag
Porsche 930 turbo 1988
Ferrari 328 GTS
Porsche boxster spyder
McLaren 650s

I can say categorically that each time I drive one of the cars, each one is always better than all the others. The C Type feels as quick at 50mph as the Mclaren at 100.
The 328 is louder than the Mclaren and an epic old style italian driving experience
The 930 turbo lag tests your patience and then tests your driving skills
The Spyder is a bit like the Mclaren, not fully appreciated and an amazing pound for pound driving experience ( buy one while you can)
And the Mclaren is the wife for the next 20 years rather than a weekend one nighter.
