Would you buy a 675LT if the opportunity presented itself (build slot)
No premium and your choice of spec

Just thinking about the numbers best part of £300k a lot of money
Whats the general consensus on on residuals £25k a year?

I would. I genuinely believe it will become an icon and the driving experience should be superb!

Yes if you can get a build slot but personally I always prefer a spider. From the write ups and spec it sounds an awesome car and if it is an improvement on the standard 650S it must be unbelievable.

In terms of residuals I don't see it being up there with Ferrari limited editions as 500 is actually quite a lot when you consider there are only 2,500 650S worldwide and its also quite a hefty premium over the standard car.
In the short term I think the car will suffer the seemingly normal McLaren depreciation which can be quite severe from LIST price but longer term 5 years + I think more like £15k per annum is possible

I can only go by what's happening right now but I've turned down some pretty sizeable offers for mine - but I want to drive and enjoy the thing!

It seems to be almost as good, maybe better in some ways, than a P1 and a third of the price, so I don't see it losing money for a few years, especially with only 500 around.
May change a bit if numbers are doubled with a spider, either way a cracking car.

For what its worth a pal of mine offered a slot last week, so maybe not as sought after as we may think.

Did he take it? My car is in for service at the moment so will ask again about availability tomorrow.

If you're thinking of residuals. Perhaps a 675 LT Spider which is meant to be capped at 300 units may interest you? (Rumoured total production to be 300 than per year). Although they said they wouldnt they'd be foolish not to!
