Anyone had an intermittent Climate Control Fault pop up on Dash? Happened 3 times now. Car is a 15 reg 650s. Message pops up on dash and the temp display on the door shows a spanner and 'Cal'.

First two times it happened it cleared itself after 5 minutes and carried on working fine.

Last time though the climate control didn't work at all for the remaining hour long journey and turning the car off and on again didn't clear it.

When I started the car again the following day it was fine again and has been fine three times since.

Normally i would just call the dealer and get it booked in but on Saturday i'm off on a 3000 mile tour of Europe with Petrolhead Nirvana and really need to know whether to get it rushed in or if there is anything obvious i can check. The car is all ready for the tour now and i have a very busy short week of work ahead and can't run the car around anywhere.

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks! Marc

This has happened on my 12 c, once in the uk and 3 times whilst on a Euro trip just recently ( 3 weeks ago) it only does it when the air on is on consistently 38 deg in Monaco, same thing spanner and Cal,
I will be taking it in now back for a check up.

Mine came back on once I switched the air con off for a few minutes and stayed on for the rest of the journey.

I had the same issue a few times - on Euro trips with it on over a long time/distance
It had a new wiring loom fitted between some control of the air-con control during it's recent service
Which so far has cured it, but then again it has been cooler of recent!

Thanks for the replies chaps. Sounds like a hot Euro trip is just the place to trigger it again then!
We'll see how it goes and fingers crossed.
