12C and the Eurotunnel

I use it quite often and there's something to watch out for. When you approach the boarding lines the guys will often walk over and try to redirect you into the normal height lanes, they think you've made an error, be firm!
dead right. The standard carriages will challenge you not to damage your rims so don't even think of itI took my 12C once down the standard part, having missed my pre-booked slot for the high vehicles (beware they have less room for movement to other trains than standard, next was 6am the following morning after an 8pm evening train!)
And it was horrific...! You are running down with probably an inch on either side and have to sit up on the door almost to see over and keep your side aligned, all the while knowing a single mistake and the rims on the other side are gone. Fortunately I escaped unscathed but it was mighty uncomfortable in the process.
