F1 LM spotted on the road

Not by me, sadly. Photographed in Baltimore, Maryland, according to the comments. Hard to think of a better car to be lucky enough to see in the wild, so 'zim2411', I salute you!

No reg plate, wheel nuts have loops welded to them, as used to secure for transit. https://www.reddit.com/r/spotted/comments/33mzao/m...
There used to be a lab near Baltimore that was one of the handful in the US which were EPA-approved to certify engines for emissions regs. My guess is that this car was in Baltimore for that reason.

Spot on. There's more information in this F1 thread over on Automotive Forums:There used to be a lab near Baltimore that was one of the handful in the US which were EPA-approved to certify engines for emissions regs. My guess is that this car was in Baltimore for that reason.

Car is apparently destined for an owner in Chicago who also owns a 'regular' F1. Nice.
On a sort-of related note, remember the story about how Lewis Hamilton was promised the F1 LM prototype by Ron Dennis if he won 3 world championships? Do you think that still applies given that he's not connected with McLaren any more?
