Miles better looking than the 650S, the new styling actually fits the car.
Very good looking thing overall, well resolved.
The 650 always was the frankenstein child of the marketing department transplanting the P1 face onto the 12C in some misguided attempt to keep the press (and Frank) happy. At least the 570 has a cohesive look.Very good looking thing overall, well resolved.

Agreed it's a stunner... and you must've been standing right next to me when that first pic was taken!
It was a good night.. Was expecting a brighter colour to contrast with the carbon more..Prices quoted was around £126k for 540C & £143k for 570S.. Looks really good value!!
Interior looks well designed & more spacious..
I'm really liking the look of this car especially from the back and especially in black. Can't help but think Mclaren would have been wise to put standard doors on it to separate it from its bigger brother as no doubt it will be as quick as the 650's once it hits the market. Look forward to seeing it in the metal!
The 570s will probably be around £165k with some options and its still a coupe. But how about a one year old 650s spyder for £169k??

that would have been £245k last year when it was new.

Boy thats some depreciation !! Person selling to trade would have only got £150k ? http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

Won't help that the 570s makes the 650 look a bit dated IMHO.

OMG - I never thought a MaC. would drop like that (aka like a stone) circa £80K in a year has got to hurt anyones pocket... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

Bet GRBF430F1 wish he'd stuck with the Scud!

Have to say that does look very nice... So nice I even had a man math moment just to see, and I'll take one in black. End of the day the Scud stays but it's the first MaC (P1 given) that I've thought OOooooooooooooooooo a bit special (from all sides)! sone said:

Agree with you about the doors but not a chance will it be as quick as the 650s!Slickhillsy said:

But why do they depreciate so much? People would argue on here that it was the 12C that depreciated due to its luke warm reception and early build problems with the sat nav. But this is the 650s that is quicker and better built - yet this car has dropped from £75k in just 12 months!! Why doesn't this happen with the 458? My view is that Mclaren does not have the BADGE to sell volume cars at £200k plus which compete with Ferrari. So they either do very low volume hypercars (p1), or low price 12c/650s (570s) pitched against the 911 turbo and R8. The badge and the styling isn't good enough (yet) to compete head to head with the Ferrari V8 mid engined car. Bet GRBF430F1 wish he'd stuck with the Scud!

Ouch... I can already hear someone else argumentation coming............http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

650s prices are indeed dropping. Even if I think the 570S is growing on me and looks a lot better than the 650S, the 650S remains the better car in terms of performance and uniqueness of the interior. So, for the same cost, I would personally go for a 650S (may be even for a little bit more, but not for 50k more) without hesitation.
The best car to have remains the 675LT now :-)
