i assume most still need to use main dealers for servicing. Obviously this limits choice as there aren't many around but still, any ones that stand out. I'm London based but the servicing is based in Sevenoaks. Also been there before and at the risk of having this thread removed, I wasn't too impressed with their diagnosis(they all do that sir) for brake squeal on my Bentley which was correctly diagnosed by an independent while the vehicle was still being driven onto the forecourt!

It looks like ascot ha as a new dealership so may try that when its up and running

It's a different set of chaps who take care of the Mclaren side of things although it's under the Lancaster overall. Ascot basically is just Mclaren London who was based at Sevenoaks who are moving there end of the month. Ben who runs the service side of things at McLondon is a top guy IMO.

I agree, Ben is very good and with Ascot coming online in a couple of weeks, he will have better facilities around him to deliver the full-fat McLaren experience.

Any news on where next for the dealership expansion?

That's good news. Last time I was there they appeared to be operating out of a portakabin and weren't too complimentary about the 12c's which were just out. I need to retrofit a rear view camera so will probably start making some initial enquiries with Ascot as they are easier to access by rail. Thanks all!

Another + for Ben, he's a really helpful guy! Not many dealers would contact you via e-mail at 21.00 offering help on a Sat night, after reading a forum post about an issue you have! Top job ;-)

Just picked up my car from Ben today, another big fan of his efforts. They'll be moving over to Ascot very, very, very soon now, so I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else if you're in this part of the world.

Not really in that part of the world but it takes just as long driving to Sevenoaks and ascot has the rail station just outside! Looking forward to organising something with them
