Getting a bit of smoke after starting the car again after a "ahem" good run biggrin Nothing bad, but I've not noticed it before. Anyone else getting similar?

1/2 a bar above mid-way. From the manual that's 250ml above middle for diddle, can't see that doing it???

Mine (MP4) seems to smoke a lot when started cold, not sure if it is smoke or condensation but it has always been like this.

Mine is white, hopefully condensation.

White is water vapour. Ignore.

Yep, my 12C gives a puff of blue on start up after some spirited driving - I'm quite particular on making sure the oil has cooled a bit prior to shutting down (back to turbo timer style) but it doesn't make too much of a difference. Oil consumption is very good though so not worried as yet. Has anyone heard any issues with the engine as yet?

Could be a turbo needing a refurb if smokey on start up. If you lift off and coast for a bit then give it some throttle and get a puff of smoke it could be worn valve guides which isn't good from an engine like that.

More often than not probably condensation or a turbo seal a bit weepy

Put your hand into the smoke and then take a quick sniff, without a full lungfull. You'll soon know if it's oil burning!

However, white is water vapour and usually harmless.
