Apologies if this post turns out to be worthless and incorrect but if the system is similar to what is on Porsche, then it works off a sensor and a valve-stem. The sensor has a battery built in it (when this runs out the whole sensor needs to be replaced not just the battery) this sends out a signal which I believe for the UK is 433mhz and is picked up by your on board computer etc. I think that unless your car had the system to pick up the frequency then it cannot be retro-fitted or certainly not an OEM one that would cause potential warranty issues etc.Maybe with McLaren the system is built in and you just need to purchase the sensors and valve stems - I would also reckon they would be very very expensive from McLaren for Porsche they are £750/800 for all 4 but I got a set off the internet - Huf/Beru seem to make most of them for Porsche, Ferrari etc etc.

My car already has the monitoring system installed. I just wandered if there was some pairing to be done between the car and the actual sensors...
Then you are all good to go mate - when the sensors are put in the system will 'learn' that they are there. If you get McLaren to do this then fine they will drive it about until its done but if you decide to do it give this time it took 30 minutes or so before my on board system recognised the new sensors.
As a last thing mate - it may sound trivial but check the wheels are set up to take a TPMS valve stem - I seem to remember the hole that takes the valves is a bit bigger than a standard one - could be a costly mistake.
