Orange Diablo spotted Northumberland
Discussion
Amazing looking thing, heading South before Wooler on the A697, might have been an SV? It was stopped before some traffic lights on green so I got funnelled past before I could slow down and inspect. Reg was rather good too, D14BLO, anyone on here or anyone know the car? Would love to think it’s local!
Thinking later on I wondered if he was broken down and felt a bit bad for not going back. The doors were going up, and It had an indicator on rather than hazards but it looked a bit weak, like an alternator fault maybe, unless they are all like that. It was gone by the time I got back so if it was you I hope you were OK. It was definitely the best car spot of the day, and there were quite a few 4 wheeled toys out which didn’t even come close in desirability, including one of those modern cab-rearward Ferraris that look like a Daytona having a dump.

Best colour for a Diablo ,really pops in the sun, only seen a couple in that colour both on late 6 litre cars,Thinking later on I wondered if he was broken down and felt a bit bad for not going back. Well i've never heard Ferrari's latest and so called greatest being called that, don't thing Ferrari will be to impressed

but have to agreed with you, my money would be on a 812 Superfast or F12 every time , a hard act to follow.
Seen a couple of press cars at Goodwood and even in the flesh was not bold over by it's looks,
Don't even think it will grow on me in time like most new models do.
Haha I apologise for my less than reverential quip, I forgot this was one of the more serene and polite parts of a Pistonheads (which is what makes it so nice to be part of. When I seen new Ferraris though I can’t quite get the image of a Chrysler Crossfire out of my mind as I remember Clarkson saying it looked “like a dog parking it’s breakfast” Im sure automakers especially those of low slung sports cars struggle with the new proportions dictated by an arms race of never ending safety legislation, and Ferrari don’t seem to struggle selling them, so what do I know.

are you sure is wasn't yellow ???
No it was definitely orange (I used to own an orange Lotus Esprit GT3 so that colour is always on my radar) and it had a single “1” in the reg instead of two pushed together. otherwise looked very similar except it had those small indicators shaped like an arrow and fairly sure it had body coloured lamp surrounds like this…It reminded me how nicely the cars have aged. Still wide as a house though!
D14BLO is currently on an orange Diablo GT, former swiss car from Geneva.
It's this car, having now D14BLO
