As title says Lamborghini found in the Lake district after 30 years in barn, interesting story

on Jonny Smiths , "The Late Brake Show " video channel, Title "Barn Find Lamborghini Survivor-Abandoned 30 Years Ago"

Could be longer as he stated that it has been in the barn for four decades ,confused

Nice touch ,still has Portman rear window sticker.

Sorry haven't got a clue how to link .

Wonderful! A few project Espadas have surfaced in the last year or so. Shocking to think this might have been scrapped as merely some old car.

I’ve posted this in the classic cars yesterday hero’s section.
Absolutely fascinating, but surely someone recalls this car and it’s distinctive plate, let alone the Portman decal
??

He knows the car but not who owned it

I think that was in Portman Denham around 1983/4 when they also had a white Esprit and a white Countach

That’s a crying shame.

That's the car sold for £26,350 plus commission on "Collecting Cars" a couple of weeks ago ,one of two offered

by the same owner ,the other being the brown automatic one.

Unless there are some serious hidden problems it looked worth saving,

Suppose to them it's worth more selling for parts than restoring it ,after all that's what they do.

This car has a registration associated with a 1973 Porsche with a V5 last updated in 1996, according to the DVLA.

Yeah I checked that too, guess the owner transferred the numberplate when the Espada was stored. Perhaps there's a Porsche hidden elsewhere in the country too!

am i the only cynical person thinking that it would be possible to use either sant'agata or whatever became of portman's records to trace the owner ?

odds on that the reg plate gives us their initials too

barn find and untraceable owner makes for a better auction story though

So you buy this at auction, what happens if the original owner pipes up after all these years to claim the car? I assume, due to the length of time passed, legal title passed to the barn owner..

I still keep looking at Iain Tyrrell's Espada. Wonder why it hasn't sold? Been on the market a long time

Having seen it in the metal - hands off it's mine smile. He probably enjoys driving it too much....

If they have an address which in this case i doubt they would have to write warning of their intentions or put a ad in a local paper maybe,

We assume the arrears that's mounted up plus the disappearance of the owner would be reason enough to give the title over.

If Del Hopkins doesn’t know (see above), unlikely anyone else knows.
He kept what he could of the Portman records; the rest is in his head.
Sant’Agata records are genuinely very Italian.

Yes Del has mainly 80's stuff.

Shame Roger, David and Mike aren't around.
