Ideal if you love a challenge and have big balls

Finding something like this is so rare and you have the ability along with deep pockets this opportunity

will not come up again, Think it's going to cause a lot of interest as well.scratchchin

Reminds me of my Espada that i tore apart and didn't have the talent to finish what i started confused

If money were no object this kind of project would be of far more interest to me than the latest supercar. What a wonderful thing to be involved with, assuming the work was handed over to the right people.

What have you done, pointing this out to me? Looks like a good basis for a project - redone engine, all the bits, ready dismantled.....

Put it like this, I've contacted a contact to ask how much it would cost to put back together smile

Ah yes, the miracle of the "unfinished project". Otherwise known as the "start again project".

buy it, trailer it to Iain Tyrell and let him get on with it (open chequebook naturally).

It could be stunning.

If you really want it done “properly”, crate it to Polo Storico.

Would depend on if they find anything missing as you go along, I would have thought more like £150K /£175K

add that to the purchase price whatever that's going be and unless you love a challenge or want your own personal nut and bolt rebuilt

Countach i would have thought it would be better to buy a going concern unless it goes for a song which it won't.

I can imagine the restoration taking quite some time, and tracking down the bits might be a challenge.
Interesting, though. Wonder why it was laid up for so long?

I've got a mate who loves projects like this,he will spend sometimes years restoring these cars and never seems to be in a hurry,

When finished seems to lose interest in them either covering them up or selling them,

For him the enjoyment seems to be challenge of locating the parts and then putting it all back together,

Then starts all over again on something else that he's falling over,

Apart from giving the car a good shake down he never drives them again far preferring his truck,

He could well end up with this Countach if the bidding doesn't get to silly,

This is an opportunity which I'm sure a lot of people would be interested in. From the various forum posts I've seen, I suspect there will be a lot of interest in this car and the bid will be high. When will there be another like this?

It's a process which I would love to do. To be involved in and make decisions on the build would be pretty cool. It was black / black originally. So tough choice, do you keep it original or not. Personally I would have another colour like Tahiti blue or that gorgeous green that was on the Pebble Beach concours winner.

Think the auction is the 29th Sep, so I'll be keeping an eye upon.

Because the speedos read in kms (with miles on the inside).
