My battery hooks ( little clips/catch mechanism that attach to the bar that holds the battery secure) have gone missing and are no longer available from Lambo or other independant suppliers. Woe is me.

The part number is 001611380 Aggancio fissaggio batteria and they are standard fittment to all Countachs right through to the |Anniversary. Can anyone help? regards stephen

Have you tried eBay - sometimes you can find the strangest things like that there if you keep looking.

Do you need the exact item or are you just looking for a generic clip to hold the battery strap in place, I found an interesting website that sells hundreds of different clips, one of which may be suitable for your needs: www.protex.com

I also found a company that sell rubber straps in various lengths and thicknesses with clips on the end if required, has been some time since I dealt with them so have forgotten the name, will have a look back and post it on here!

Securing the battery is no problem what happened years ago was I could not source the right size battery so put in a larger one and had to fit standard bar with the long hooks and nuts that u tighten down which is a perfect solution but now want to get it back to standard and I know i put the clips away for safe keeping which is always a fine way to lose them! But thanks for your link as I now know that the correct English term for the clips/hooks is toggle latch and thanks for the link and the ones on the website do not look too far off, so will maybe try and adapt them. stephen

Thanks for this I did eventually manage to get the correct toggle latches ( from Australia!) but its interesting as I understand from the ever helpful Del Hopkins ( who is a star) that they had problems with the system even when the cars were new and often had to cut bits of the battery away to get it all to fit, but your rubber strap suggestion is quite a good one methinks so thank u.

I've always had to cut away the lower ridge on one side of the battery to get it to fit.
Wasted a few, until I leant how to do it without cutting into the battery itself......
