On the hard shoulder of the Northbound M40 just past Banbury yesterday. Hope it didn't turn out too expensive.

Its belongs to a member on s9s.co.uk (also an active member here)

He was on his way from "way down south" to "bonny Scotland" via Oulton park.
The car issue is supposedly not too serious, however enough to prevent onward progress ....fuel regulator

He posted some photos ...bloody lovely looking thing those early countachs in black lick

Yes - it was me...
Just shows you can't sneak anywhere in a Countach!

As above, it seems to be fuel regulator, and nothing major. I decided to pick it up from garage in Surrey (getting a new windscreen and painted) and drive home, but that didn't seem such a good idea when I was at the side of the M40 a few hrs later...

Still, if it had stopped working earlier, in the M25 traffic jam near Heathrow, I think the resulting tailback would have been live on Sky News!

Glad to hear it's easily fixable. As you say, not the easiest car in which to avoid attention.
