I know I'm bonkers, but i had a picture of an urraco on my wall as a kid and always fancied one.

Now that I've got the German supercar bug out of my system, I thought it time to go italian before theyre too expensive

Trouble is that there aren't many for sale in the UK, any ideas where to look or best place to post a wanted ad ??

Thanks

You may wait forever in UK but perhaps this is a good place to start......

Yeah, German supercar is probably exaggerating a bit - should have written, the german sportscars with the engines in the back !!

Actually there is a LHD 1972 Urraco P250 listed on Pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/l... though I think this is the model with the 2.5 litre engine and not the 3.0 litre version - I stand to be corrected on this point!

Prices have gone a bit bonkers for them. Great little car...buy the best you can afford and then join club to meet owners who will point you in the right direction re help and parts.

I had one once.

He sells replicas which are ALWAYS overpriced..so I'm not surprised that the one genuine car in his stock is expensive. Does he even have the car on his premises I wonder? Now having said that, the car does seem very shiny. And you'll have to take a bet on whether prices may correct. Even if they do, you shouldn't be more than £20k out of pocket. Corrected, I think Uraccos are a £25k car...

Compare it to your recently sold 911. If that was an impact bumper turbo, you might've sold it for £90k....now you and I know that the 'correct' price for one of them is £35k....so you're spending your profit on the Turbo..or looked at another way, the Uracco would owe you nothing...there's some man maths for you....
