Barr tec. Seem to be the closest to me at this point. Anyone use this specialist? Reccomend, Any good? fast or slow? Are there any other specialist in the north cambridgeshire or eastern coast side of the UK.

Grimaldi Engineering in Halstead has done a lot of work on my Lamborghinis over the last 10 years. He's definitely worth talking to. He is very busy so might not always pick up the phone.

For older cars, defo better than a main dealer. Really passionate about their work. Tino is a proper machanic, was using a sethoscope on a diablo when I had my MOT done there

Finding a decent Indy for Lamborghini is a challenge. Loads can handle a basic service etc. but if it goes much deeper than that, it gets much harder. Most don't have the right diagnostic software for a start (not that this is a complete show-stopper). It's not like Ferrari where you're more spoiled for choice.

I don't hear too much bad about Barr-Tech but have never used them.

For the Murci, I now use Mark Hosken at Backdraft Motorsport in Milton Keynes for any 'interim' work. He knows his way around the cars and more than that, he's got enough 'old school' mechanic about him to care (he's fixed things that Lamborghini couldn't). He also knows people who can fix and rebuild components rather than just replace them. Finally he's a very nice bloke.

For major services it goes back to Lambo in Pangbourne mainly for the history. I find the mixture between the Dealer and the Specialist gets me the best of both worlds in terms of history, cost and ability.

I've visited Grimaldi once, and I think if you want to go to the Independent route, I think he's the gold standard. Trained under Colin Clarke if my memory serves me well. Then there's the place that you won't go back to, but they do seem to get mostly positive reviews.

Don't know about your geography needs but Autoficcina in Tolworth area look after my Gallardo SL.
Always loads of Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini in there.
Top people, top quality, reasonable prices

I used Barr Tech for the PPI when I purchased my car. Tino and Nino did a thorough job and provided good advice.
I would also recommend BHP( Buckinghamshire High Performance). They always have plenty of cars in for work whenever I visited.

Personally, I have found that Barr-tech have stopped being responsive these days.

They don't seem interested in new work anymore.

I'm not sure what's going on but for the past couple of years I have been travelling further away to find a more helpful and reliable service.

it's a shame as they are local to me, but I'm afraid that I choose to avoid Barr-tech.

+1 for AV Engineering and Grimaldi.

Actually, to be fair to Barr-tech, they seem to have shifted away from Italian exotica now. I looked at their website last night, and they seem to be selling vans nowadays.

Are you kidding me.... I've popped in recently several times this year and the yard and ramps are filled with exotica!!

Tino and nino haven't changed, they are still good guys.
