Has anyone any experience of the IPE Innotech valved exhaust systems on the Murcielago? I can find very little feedback on this system on the net.
There are several valved systems available, Kreisseg, Capristo, but although it is not easy to tell from videos, the Innotech fitted to the Murcielago seems to give a really high pitched sound as the revs rise, and there are distributors in the UK.

I have a switchable Capristo with sports cats. Either way it sounds like a (last season) F1 on full chat. All the sports exhausts sound very similar when on song. Faultless, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Never seen an IPE, no seen one in the flesh I'm afraid.

Thank you for the reply. Currently the car has a quicksilver system fitted, and I am just interested in the option of switching to a quieter level if the need may arise.

I've tried both and would go for a valved system if doing it again, some people like it, but for me to have the ability to go quiet if you want is a real plus and I don't see a downside except a very small weight saving.

I've got an LNB valveless one gathering dust if anyone wants to give it a go!

It's quite a bit louder with just the muffler changed than standard even with the software to open the valves, but not actually excessive, really need the cats out for it to make a proper noise.
Also you need a wireless controller to permanently open the valves as well as or in place of the factory software upgrade otherwise sport is still louder than corsa the way it's setup

I don't think removal of the cats is a viable option for me. I don't want to have to refit cats every year to pass emissions testing.
I have a custom system on my Ford GT, which is race spec, but with small open cell cats that are sufficient to pass emissions, and it is obscenely loud, 106db just on startup! measured 2 meters from the exhaust. Sounds epic, but the db level is a bit too much, and I don't want to be confined to that kind of level with the Murcielago

Sorry, still not got the hang of the new forums, got confused and forgot we were talking about a Murci not aventador, ignore the software bit, all else still applies the same.

I spent quite a bit of time last year looking for a valved exhaust for my 670 and have the number for a supplier of IPE in the UK, I almost got as far as having a bespoke system made by a race exhaust manufacturer in Bicester but in the end I couldn't make my mind up and settled for open valves which to my ears sounds just right, for now anyway.
