Murcielago centre console switch's

Does anyone know where I can get replacement switch's? i.e. the buttons that activate the electric windows, mirrors etc. Mine are looking a bit worn and I would like to replace or get them reconditioned. Also has anyone got experience of removing the console to do this? I am sure it must be straightforward.

I wonder are they shared with any Audi/VW models?

Are the switches on the console where the gear shift is?

Yes, they are the switch's, my car has the leather surround not the carbon fibre. I have done a bit of a search, but can't find anything much.

That electric mirror switch looks very like a Vauxhall switch!

Maybe if you removed the switches, the part numbers/codes could be cross referenced with Audi/VW? They look familiar to me.

Thanks, it's not quite as straight forward as I first thought. There is lots of dismantleing involved! I am ok at taking things apart, it's the putting them back together I have problems with! I wonder if there is some kind of clear varnish that can be used to paint the switch's in situ.

For some reason, the buttons seem to go all sticky after a while and generally quite grotty. You could try giving them a gentle wipe with a clean cloth with some brake cleaner on it. I've found this can work sometimes. Be gentle though, and don't touch the surrounding leather with it or else you'll wipe off the dye and you'll end up with white patches.

Just get some Meguiars Ultimate quick interior detailer. Spray in on a micro fibre cloth and gently wipe. Use a cotton bud with some detailer on it to get right in if needed.....

But don't use brake cleaner!!! They are rather delicate coatings on the buttons!

I had to clean my buttons too. They were properly sticky. I had to use white spirits and a microfibre and a good few hours to get them cleaned. It was a nightmare. So much better though now.

Go to exotic auto recycling on EBay. I saw some on there but they are in the USA
