I noticed that number on an add somewhere - it can't be right can it ?
APRs go a little bit mad when you borrow small amounts over short terms. For example, if a mate lends you 20 quid for a week and when you pay him back you buy him a pint (£3) to say thank you, you've effectively paid an APR of 143213.7%Despite this, it is still a legal requirement for them to be stated on the adverts, hence the silly numbers that end up showing on the adverts of short term lenders such as Wonga.
