cdn.code.haymarket.com WTF !

Why oh! funcking why, oh! fking why do I always have to wait for this ste to decide what it wants to do.
Can I some how stop, or bypass this little fker.
Almost every time, I have to fking wait, perhaps 30 seconds, just for the tt to make its mind up.

and another bad fker is google analyticals, what the fk is that ???????

I often get the same delays late into the night and early morning. Both seem to slow the loading of the site substantially. 30 seconds is not unusual.

I'd guess that (if it is doing it all the time) it's probably related to the great firewall of china, is it a permanent problem or does it come and go?

Just in the last hour Will,
Most times it is lightning fast.
Some times I use Google UK, some times Google HK if either one is slow.

But tonight (well here in China) I am pulling my hair out.

I'd guess that it's just a temporary glitch then (happens in the UK from time to time too). If it's not jumped back to life by tomorrow then let me know and I'll see what else I can do.

... without diverting the thread too much. Mr Will, do PH do backups or such things in the early hours of the morning? It does seem to be markedly slower in these early hours.

it always hangs on 'connecting to cdn.code.haymarket.com' it just sits for a good 30 seconds or more.
Today has been esp. bad, most days the site runs fine, with just a temp. pause at 'connecting to cdn.code.haymarket.com' of about 3 seconds.

Firefox + AdBlock + rule to block "cdn.code.haymarket.com"?

cdn.code.haymarket.com seems to provide visitor statistics so won't be losing out on anything.
