Ted whats with this; when I go to look at the 'Sunday times post' post@www.pistonheads.net/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=13&t=9223

It says that last post was 18:33 when I open it up the actual last post time is shown as 15:37 is it me or the system??

Harry,

When a post has been deleted (by Ted or poster) the time of the deleted post stays in the thread listing even though the post has gone. It is an undocumented feature enhancement designed to let you know that a post has been deleted.

I think this right - could be cobblers in which Ted will straighten us out.

Cheers,
JSG.

JSG I thought it would have the message box with the time of post and just "message deleted" in it, or not as the case may be....Ted please do tell

Harry,

I just tested it and my post disappeared totally but the time remained.

This may be different for me, if your posts stay as a **DELETED MESSAGE** I think I know why

I agree with you that when the post is deleted there is no record apart from the time (if you get what I mean) I was just interested to see who had deleted their post, that's all and no it wasn't moi.

I think the ***MESSAGE DELETED*** thing only comes up if the first message in a thread is deleted!!! Could be wrong though!
