Mods - is it possible to merge the shooter threads?

These two threads are both discussing the shooter running round - is it possible to merge them or lock one?

Well... lock one then and link to the other? One of them is a 'repost', they are both talking about the same thing/event.

If we spot them early then Pete or I can merge them manually, but once they have been up this long they both have their own "lives" and discussions within them, which will become very confusing if they are merged.

Add to this the fact that (as Gaz said) they are in separate forums with different audiences and in this case I agree that it is best to leave them as they are.
