PH Mobile problems.

Like the PH-on-a-diet mobile site - but recently I've been having a problem with the site. If I load a thread on my iPhone and start scrolling as it's loading, as soon as the site's fully loaded it jumps back to the top of the page again. I know I'm impatient and need to wait for my PH goodness, but is this a problem on my fault or have other people experienced this? I didn't find anything on the search.

Yeah, it annoys me too. I have mentioned it but there wasn't much sympathy.

Yeah it is annoying. I think they're working on a 'bottom' button though.

It was stated as "the way iPhones work" a while ago. However my usage shows that it is more like "the way iPhones work with PH and no other sites whatsoever".

It is not just isolated to PH, any site which loads the adverts after the content will have the same problem on iPhones (According to Pete tvcatchup.com is a good example if you want to test it). As far as I am aware, the only other option would be to load the advert first, but this would prevent anything at all from showing until the advert had finished loading. Considering the length of time it can take for the ads to load, I'm sure you can see why this would be worse than the current situation.

TBF, this happens on a proper computer with photo intensive threads. It's the nature of the beast I suspect - the browser can't know how long the page is until it downloads and resizes the images.

That's a slightly different problem, but you are correct in your assumption of what causes it.
