Icon to show a thread is closed?

It would be harsh, but true, to say I've asked some questions with obvious answers in here.. I think I'm OK on this one

In the P&P I came across a thread that had been closed as a repost (and also was sailing quite close to acceptable, IMO) I'm a bit lazy and tend - as many others say they do - to just surf the list of most recently updated threads. Closed threads are usually closed because they are pointless or offensive or both and life's too short to read them. Could we have an icon in the topic icon column to show that a thread is closed?

If you tell me there already is one - I'll ban myself...

Oh testicles.

I see the padlock thing. And it wasn't there on the thread I was being annoyed about - but I've been back and it's there now - must have been a timing/browser cache thing.
