Editing post titles

Is there a good reason why it's not possible to edit post titles?

Two reasons, firstly the data is stored in different places so it is more secure to not allow editing. Secondly it is quite rare that a title needs editing and it stops people playing silly buggers.

If you spot that you have made a typo or similar before anyone has replied then deleting your first post will remove the entire topic, allowing you to re-start it without the mistake.

Once the first reply is in though, it is a job for the mods. Just hit the "Report" button and they'll do it for you as soon as possible.
