Emailing other members

Hi

Tried to email two members tonight but both times I get send the following messages to my email

It is because you have and AOL email address. AOL use some utterly bizarre anti-spam software on their email accounts which causes all sorts of problems all over the internet.

The PH system sends two copys of every PM, one to you and one to the person you emailed. The one for the person to you PM'ed will be sent fine, but the copy intended for you is being intercepted by AOL, blocked and then returned to you to tell you that it has been blocked.

Basically the long and the short of it is that you don't need to worry about it, but if you have an alternative email address then switching to this will cure the problem.

I'd advice using an alternate address if you have one, AOL causes problems worldwide with it's hyperactive (and at the same time ineffective) spam filters, as a quick google will reveal.

The emails you send to other members will get there, but I've sent a test email via your profile to check that you can receive emails that others send to you.

How are plans for an online PM facility coming along?

I want to send Soovy a PM, for example, but he doesn't accept emails from/via PH. If we had an online facility I could share exciting information with him

We've got quite a lot on at the moment so this is not likely to be added any time soon. It is something we would like to add though, so it will appear one day.
