Dan1981 - Banned?

Morning,

First of all apologese for posting this from a new account - however my origional account appears to have been locked and me banned.

I've emailed Garlick about this but havn't had a response yet - but to be fair it was fairly late yesterday evening.

I've not had an email from a mod or anyone to explain my banning - the below text is what i've emailed Garlick - i was hoping a mod could have a look at what i was banned for and maybe read the post that i made (if you still can once its been deleted) and maybe provide an explanation?

I appear to have been banned, for Racist / Offensive postings.

I know (or presume) which post casued this - the one in the womens tennis thread in website feedback, that has since been deleted.

I've not had an email from a mod or anyone explaining my banning so i can't be certain.

However a straight ban with no warning / sin bin? And no previous offenses at all?

I don't even feel that my post was racist - i was:

1: enquiring as to if the origional thread had become a lot more racist than it had started.

2: Putting accross the opinion that i didn't think that the OP was being racist in the thread that was deleted

3: and showing a couple of pictures of the Williams sisters displaying their muscles. I also made the point quite clear that a person of whatever colour with muscles like that could be considered a gorilla.

My terms had no racism behind them and were simply a further discussion of the points already raised.

Hopefully this ban can be reconsidered and looked at again - i feel its inaccurate and unfair.

Funny, PH used to be the place where we talked about and took the piss out of ridiculous knee-jerk PCism with no basis in fact.

Now it's just part of the problem.

occaisonaly use the n word and the p word to describe someone from nigeria and pakistan, but it gets overwritten, so no big deal. being very specific about gorillas and black sports stars might well be picked up by google and could reflect on haymarket's advertising
