Putting 'links' into a word or picture

Another one whilst I'm here!

How do you put a link into a word or picture? I tend to copy it from the toolbar and then paste, but it looks dead cool when people say: click 'here' and the 'here' word is the link.

How does one go about such a task?

To make a "clicky" picture:

[url ][img]insert image address ending in .jpeg here[/img]|insert website url here[/url]

Again, without the space before the ] of the [url]
